Founded in 1987, this is one of the fastest-growing whiskeys in America, and for a good reason.

In 2021, Bulleit Frontier Whiskey took home a Double Gold medal for Bulleit 10-Year Old and Gold Medals for Bulleit Bourbon and Bulleit Rye at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Their new state-of-the-art distillery opened its door just five years ago and is located in Shelbyville, KY just halfway between Lexington and Louisville. Bulleit focuses on providing great old-fashioned whiskey with a modern approach.

Types of Tours at Bulleit Distillery
Today, Bulleit has a brand-new visitor center that showcases the innovation and technology that goes into every bottle.
The goal is to learn a little, drink a little, and relax a little at the new Bulleit Distilling Co Visitor Experience.
The Frontier Whiskey Experience: This is the only distillery tour offered at Bulleit. It covers the huge expanse of the property and the beauty of the newly constructed Bulleit Distillery buildings and barrel warehouses.
The tour shows the entire process but does not include access into the actual barrel warehouses.
The one-hour tour ends with an interactive sampling of four of Bulleit’s most popular offerings.
Reservations are recommended, especially on the weekends.
Tasting Experiences: Although not technically a tour of the distillery and property, these offerings are a great way to spend an evening with friends.
Each tasting experience lasts approximately 30 minutes. Reservations are recommended.
- Anatomy of a Single Barrel: Enjoy three different single-barrel samples in a private tasting room. You’ll be able to explore the notes of each specific yeast strain, and really understand how they contribute to the overall flavor profile. Includes a fourth sample of the flagship Bulleit Bourbon and a small sweet treat to finish off the night.
- Unlocking the Senses: This interactive tasting incorporates lights, sounds, and scents to provide an immersive experience to explore the Bulleit portfolio of whiskeys.
- Cocktail Classes: On select weekends only, the Liquid Experience Manager, educates guests on the art of balancing flavors, tools, and techniques to create the best cocktails at home.

The Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Distillery is easy to find and has convenient parking options.
The retail store, cocktail bar, and outdoor patio are free and open to the public.
